Winter is just around the corner and that means it’s the perfect season to purchase cozy sweaters, beauty products that help prevent dry irritated skin or even a scarf that will keep you nice and warm!

Here are a few tips that will help you get through the winter months:

Tip #1: When buying products for the winter, try to find items that you can wear year after year! I like shopping for timeless pieces that can be worn next year as well. Check out sales at department stores or go to your local vintage shop to find items that you know will last you a very long time.

Tip #2: Keep in mind, winter feels like the longest season, and it really is, (if you ask me), therefore, its best to purchase comfortable clothing because you’ll be stuck wearing them for a few months. Choose a coat that keeps you warm and looks stylish. The worst thing is to look amazing but feel uncomfortable out in the cold!

Tip #3: My skin tends to dry up and get irritated during the winter months so I’ve tried and tested a few products that help this common problem. Remember to stay consistent with your beauty routine- cleanse, tone and moisturize! Moisturizing is the most important step during the harsh winter months. I like using moisturizers that are oil free because I have combination skin.

I hope these tips were helpful! I’ve rounded up some of my winter essentials including some that are on SALE right now! Just use the arrows to swipe left or right:

Cozy Fall Diary

October 11, 2017

I had a great summer and now that fall is here, I decided to share some of this season’s favourites with you. I have seriously been counting down to Fall since July of this year. LOL! It is definitely my favorite season. The thought of cozy fall outfits and sipping pumpkin spiced lattes puts me in the best mood.  I love enjoying the simple things that make me happy and that’s what matters, right? 🙂

I’ve been waiting to pull out my cozy sweaters from my closet but the weather hasn’t been predictable. I wore this outfit a few times this fall and I love how comfortable it makes me feel. When the weather does get chilly, I stick to wearing long sleeved sweaters and cardigans. I paired this outfit with ankle boots I purchased at ALDO.

For my skin and daily beauty routine, I like exfoliating three times a week during the fall season. My skin gets dry in some areas so this  pumpkin walnut facial cleanser by Feel Renewed is perfect! I received a sample of this cleanser in my September Ipsy bag. I love it because it smells just like fall.

I also received this Photo Finish Foundation primer by Smashbox in my September Ipsy bag. I don’t usually wear foundation but I use this to give me a beautiful glow underneath my concealer and bronzer!

Having some cider this fall? Indigo has some cute mugs for the perfect fall drinks.

You can find mugs like these at Indigo.

Nothing makes fall cozy like an autumn chestnut candle. I found this candle at Indigo and I have been saving it for a movie night.

I love Indigo’s selection of pillows and they have a larger selection online to choose from. You can decorate any cozy space with them to create that fall inspired decor in your own home.

Looking for some fall recipes? This illustrated cookbook offers 180 recipes to choose from. Embrace the autumn sun with Seared tuna with fennel confit, or Butterflied king prawns with mango; watch the leaves fall while indulging in Chestnut risotto with sage and pancetta or Five-spiced duck with pomegranate salad; snuggle into winter with some Chipotle-braised beef ribs with spicy baked pumpkin or an Apple and quince pie; or celebrate the freshness of Spring with Moroccan broad bean salad with yogurt and crispy breadcrumbs or Blood orange and dark chocolate trifle. Harvest will inspire you to build delicious seasonal feasts for any occasions in the year.

Don’t forget your tea this fall! The perfect fall tea is definitely a spiced chai with some milk and sugar in my opinion 🙂
